Making Embossing Templates from the Cricut

I am currently trying to figure out the easiest way to make embossing templates using my Cricut. I think the best way I have heard so far is to cut your shape from a piece of chipboard (old cereal box works) and glue the
"cutout" on another piece of chipboard where it can be lined up exactly with the cut-out.

This will align the two sides so that the paper to be embossed will fit between and the design will press into the paper. It is important to note that the paper you want to emboss should be lightly spritzed with water prior to embossing. It will help it to be flexible. Just make sure it is not too wet or you could ruin your template!

Any ideas???
